Does Verdikx submit dispute responses for me?
Only when you say so. Verdikx prepares the evidence and an AI-assisted draft for every case. For connected processors (Stripe, plus Braintree, Adyen, Checkout.com, Klarna, Afterpay and WooPayments in beta) you can submit from the case after reviewing it, or turn on Autopilot with your own limits. PayPal and Square are coming soon. Shopify Payments responses are finished in Shopify admin, unless Shopify has approved direct evidence submission for Verdikx on your store; then the case shows Submit to Shopify. Verdikx never accepts a dispute for you.
Will screening cancel or hold my orders?
Verdikx never cancels an order on its own. With order screening (Growth and up), it holds risky Shopify orders and orders from customers you block, and you decide whether to cancel; a cancel is always yours, after a confirmation. Automatic refunds of pre-dispute alerts within your cap are a separate opt-in (Growth and up). Autopilot never accepts a dispute; you accept one only after a confirmation. Screening scores every order and, if order actions are enabled, adds tags, notes and a risk assessment in Shopify. High-risk orders are held automatically by default; you can turn this off in your screening settings (Automation → Order screening), and you can release, approve or cancel any held order. Orders are also held when you blocked the customer, or when a risk rule you created or a blocklist entry says so.
What does the AI see?
A limited set of order and shipping facts for the case. Customer names, emails, addresses and your uploaded files are not sent for drafts, and OpenAI does not use API data to train its models. See section 6 of the Privacy Policy.
Why is some evidence missing?
Evidence depends on the Shopify permissions you approved, when the app was installed, and which services are connected. The case workspace lists missing sources so you can add files yourself.
How does billing work, and how do I cancel?
Plans are billed monthly or yearly and renew automatically until you cancel. A Shopify store is billed through Shopify, which shows the plan and any free trial for your approval before you are charged; to cancel, open Billing in the app, choose Cancel plan and confirm, or uninstall the app, and cancelling a yearly plan early gives you a prorated credit on your Shopify bill. A workspace billed by card (Stripe) is cancelled in Billing, Manage billing: cancel the plan on the Stripe page that opens. The plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for and you are not charged again; that period is not refunded except where required by law. The exception is your first paid month: if Verdikx isn't worth it, email support@verdikx.com within 30 days of that first charge and we refund that month (once per store; see the first-month refund guarantee in the Terms of Service).

Data export and deletion requests
- Merchants: delete your account yourself in Settings → Delete account (a Shopify store must be uninstalled first), or email privacy@verdikx.com from the address on your Verdikx account to request a copy or deletion of your data. We will confirm your identity before acting on an emailed request and complete deletion within 30 days, except records the law requires us to keep. Self-service export is not available yet.
- Your customers: buyers should contact your store. Shopify sends their data and deletion requests to Verdikx automatically; see Retention and deletion for what happens.
- Uninstalling triggers deletion of the store’s data after Shopify’s store deletion request, as described in the Privacy Policy.
How to uninstall
- In your Shopify admin, open Settings → Apps.
- Find Verdikx, open the menu next to it and choose Uninstall.
- Confirm. Billing for Verdikx stops, Shopify revokes the app’s access and data collection for the store ends.
Evidence packets you need should be downloaded before uninstalling, because store data is deleted after Shopify’s deletion request.
