Pricing guide

Chargeback software pricing:
success fees vs. subscription

Chargeback software is priced four ways: a success fee on recovered chargebacks (Chargeflow lists 25%), a price per dispute or alert, a subscription, or a percentage of approved order value for guarantee products such as Signifyd. Success fees cost nothing up front but grow with every win; a subscription stays the same. Verdikx plans start at $29 a month.

Subscription pricing

Stop paying a cut of every chargeback you win.

Success-fee dispute services keep a share of every chargeback they win back for you. Verdikx self-serve plans are subscriptions with usage included and no cut of your wins, so what you win stays yours. Showing a 25% success fee: Chargeflow lists 25% for its Automation product (checked 2026-10-05). Pick your provider's fee below.

The four ways chargeback software is priced

1. Success fee: a percentage of what is recovered

The vendor keeps a share of every chargeback it wins back. Chargeflow's pricing page, for example, lists its Automation product at 25% per recovered chargeback, with no payment until a chargeback is recovered. Some cap the fee on each recovery: Disputifier's pricing page lists 20% of recovered revenue, capped at $250 per recovery.

  • Pros: nothing to pay up front, nothing to pay in a month with no wins, and the vendor earns more when you win more.
  • Cons: the bill grows with every win and every larger order, you pay the same share on easy wins as on hard ones, and the monthly cost is hard to budget.

2. Per dispute or per alert

A fixed price for each dispute handled or each alert received. Chargeflow lists its Alerts product (powered by Verifi and Ethoca) at $29 per deflected chargeback, with a better price above 50 alerts a month. Chargeback.io's pricing page lists Ethoca (Mastercard) alerts at $29 and Visa RDR and CDRN alerts at $15 each, and says you pay only when it helps prevent a chargeback (see Verdikx vs Chargeback.io).

  • Pros: a known unit price, and you pay only for the disputes or alerts you have.
  • Cons: the cost follows dispute volume, low-value disputes cost as much as high-value ones, and an alert that deflects a chargeback usually ends in a refund (see Rapid Dispute Resolution).

3. Subscription

A monthly or yearly plan with usage included. Verdikx is priced this way: Starter $29, Growth $79, Pro $199 a month, 20% less billed yearly (Starter $23, Growth $63, Pro $159 a month), with Pro screening up to 50,000 orders a month. Self-serve plans take no percentage of recovered chargebacks. Other chargeback apps are subscriptions too, some with lower listed prices: ChargePay's Shopify listing shows plans from $19.99 to $99.99 a month, each tied to the store's Shopify plan tier, with per-alert fees when alerts are enabled (see Verdikx vs ChargePay). When you compare subscriptions, compare what each plan includes as well as the price.

  • Pros: a predictable bill that does not grow with your wins, and screening, disputes and returns review in one price (by plan).
  • Cons: you pay in a quiet month too, and at small recoveries a success fee can cost less: a 25% fee on less than $316 a month costs less than Growth.

4. A percentage of approved order value (guarantee products)

Fraud-guarantee providers charge on the orders they approve and reimburse fraud chargebacks on those orders. Signifyd's pricing page says it charges a percentage of the order total when an order is approved, nothing for declined orders, and sets the rate per merchant. The Wyllo (formerly NoFraud) Shopify listing bills its guarantee plans at 1% to 1.5% of revenue with monthly minimums. Some price by plan instead: ClearSale's Growth plans start at $250 a month on its pricing page, and it charges only for orders it approves (see Verdikx vs ClearSale).

  • Pros: fraud chargeback losses on approved orders move to the provider.
  • Cons: the cost follows sales, not disputes; rates are often quoted rather than published; and a guarantee covers what its terms cover, so check which dispute reasons are included.

How to compare on your own numbers

  1. Add up what you recovered in won chargebacks over the last three months and divide by three.
  2. Apply each quoted model: the success fee to your recoveries, the per-dispute price to your dispute count, the percentage to your approved order value.
  3. Add what you would still buy separately, such as fraud screening or returns review.
  4. Compare with a subscription that includes them, using the comparison above and the chargeback fee calculator for what the disputes themselves cost you.

Where Verdikx fits

Verdikx is a subscription that combines order screening, chargeback management and returns-abuse review, so the cost stays the same as your recoveries grow. Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial, once per store (or per card-billed account). See pricing, or the cost breakdowns for Chargeflow, Disputifier, Signifyd and NoFraud (Wyllo).

Frequently asked questions

Is a success fee or a subscription cheaper for chargeback software?

It depends on how much you recover. At a 25% success fee, Growth at $79 a month costs less once you recover more than $316 a month; below that, the success fee costs less. At $2,000 recovered, the fee is $500 a month.

What success fee do chargeback services charge?

Chargeflow's pricing page lists 25% per recovered chargeback for its Automation product, checked 2026-10-05. The comparison on this page lets you pick 15%, 20%, 25% or 30% so you can model the rate you are quoted.

Does Verdikx take a percentage of recovered chargebacks?

No. Verdikx self-serve plans are subscriptions (Starter $29, Growth $79, Pro $199 a month, 20% less yearly) with usage included and no percentage of recovered chargebacks.

How are fraud guarantee products like Signifyd priced?

Signifyd's pricing page says it charges a percentage of the order total on approved orders and nothing on declined ones, with the rate set per merchant. The Wyllo (formerly NoFraud) Shopify listing bills guarantee plans at 1% to 1.5% of revenue with monthly minimums.

Do guarantee products replace chargeback software?

Not entirely. A guarantee reimburses the chargebacks its terms cover, typically fraud on orders the provider approved. Friendly fraud, item-not-received and not-as-described disputes still need evidence and a response, which is what chargeback management software prepares.
