Subscriptions & SaaS

Dispute management
for subscriptions and SaaS.

Subscription and SaaS businesses mostly face disputes over renewals customers forgot, cancellations they say were ignored, and card-on-file charges reported as fraud. Verdikx brings Stripe and other processor disputes into one queue, attaches cancellation and billing records from connected subscription tools (beta), and drafts responses from signup terms, renewal notices and usage you supply.

Where subscription disputes come from

  • Cancelled recurring. The customer says they cancelled and was billed again: Visa 13.2 or the legacy Mastercard 4841, now handled under 4853.
  • Fraud claims on renewals. A card-on-file renewal the cardholder does not recognize is reported as Visa 10.4 or Mastercard 4837. A recognizable merchant descriptor prevents many of these.
  • Cancelled services and refunds. The customer cancelled under your terms and expected a refund: Visa 13.7 or Visa 13.6.
  • Trial conversions. Visa's rules for free trials and introductory offers require express consent at signup, a reminder before the first full-price charge and easy online cancellation. See subscription chargebacks for the details.

The evidence that answers them

Stripe's guidance for subscription-canceled disputes lists the cancellation policy as the customer saw it, renewal notifications, why the charge is valid and proof of continued use after the claimed cancellation. Visa's Compelling Evidence 3.0 FAQ confirms CE 3.0 is available for recurring transactions, so earlier undisputed payments from the same customer can answer a fraud claim.

How Verdikx fits

Verdikx is a fraud, chargeback and dispute platform for e-commerce and SaaS merchants, built by Verdikx LLC (New Jersey, United States). A SaaS company without a store signs up on verdikx.com and runs processor-only.

  • One dispute queue. Stripe disputes import automatically (live) and are included on every plan in a processor-only workspace. Braintree, Adyen, Checkout.com and Authorize.net are in beta, and notices from any processor or bank arrive by forwarded email or CSV.
  • Subscription records as evidence (Growth and Pro, beta). Subscription starts, renewals, cancellations and invoices from Recharge, Skio or Chargebee attach to the case. See connecting subscription tools.
  • Compelling Evidence 3.0. For Visa 10.4 disputes, Verdikx looks for at least two prior undisputed payments from 120 to 364 days earlier that share the IP or device plus another identifier, and eligible Stripe disputes receive them as enhanced evidence automatically.
  • Your usage logs, your way. Verdikx does not read your product's login or usage data on its own. Add it to a case through the API or Zapier as an evidence note (Growth), or upload a PDF, JPEG or PNG export in the case's evidence checklist.
  • Autopilot (Growth). New disputes are drafted on arrival and, if you opt in, submitted before the deadline inside limits you set. See Autopilot.

Where Verdikx does not fit

  • Without a Shopify or WooCommerce (beta) store there is no order screening: Verdikx does not score signups or payments inside your own app.
  • It doesn't run your billing or send renewal reminders. When a buyer disputes, or a Stripe early fraud warning arrives, Verdikx can cancel their Recharge subscription, or pause or cancel a Skio or Stripe Billing one, after you confirm (Growth and up; the Recharge and Skio connections are in beta). It acts automatically only on early fraud warnings and only if you turn that on, and it never changes Shopify's own subscriptions.
  • Card-network pre-dispute alerts (Visa RDR and Mastercard Ethoca) are coming soon, not available today.
  • PayPal disputes are coming soon; until then, bring PayPal notices in by forwarded email or CSV.
  • It does not guarantee outcomes. Issuers and card networks decide disputes.

Frequently asked questions

Can a SaaS company without a Shopify store use Verdikx?

Yes. Sign up on verdikx.com, choose the processor-only setup and pay by card. Stripe disputes are included on every plan in that setup. There is no order screening without a Shopify or WooCommerce (beta) store.

Does Verdikx collect login and usage logs automatically?

No. Verdikx does not connect to your product's own database. Send usage or login records to a case as evidence notes through the API or Zapier, or upload them as a PDF, JPEG or PNG file in the case's evidence checklist.

Which subscription platforms does Verdikx connect to?

Recharge, Skio and Chargebee subscription records attach to cases as evidence. These connections are in beta (fully built and supported) on the Growth and Pro plans.

Does Compelling Evidence 3.0 apply to subscriptions?

Visa's CE 3.0 FAQ confirms it is available for recurring transactions. It applies to Visa 10.4 fraud disputes and needs prior undisputed transactions that share identifiers with the disputed one.
