Autopilot

Disputes that answer
themselves.

Automated dispute response means software drafts and submits chargeback responses without manual work per case. Verdikx Autopilot, on Growth and Pro, drafts and packages every case and can auto-submit eligible ones where the processor allows it, inside your limits: processors, reasons, maximum amount and minimum evidence strength, by default 48 hours before the deadline, with a kill switch.

Part of one platform

One step of the lifecycle. All of it covered.

Verdikx handles prevention and chargeback recovery on the same order record, from checkout to chargeback and after.

  1. 01Before it ships

    Screen every order

On Growth and Pro, a 0–100 risk score with plain-English reasons on every new order after it is placed: IP and device velocity, card testing, account takeover, repeat disputers, chargebacks linked from other orders, IP intelligence, your blocklists and rules, and Verdikx Network history. Risky orders are held before fulfilment; you decide.

  2. 02As it happens

    Capture the evidence

Tracking, store policies, customer messages, checkout signals and order history are saved to the order's evidence vault as they happen, not rebuilt later.

  3. 03Before it's a chargeback

    Stop it early

Stripe early fraud warnings land in one inbox, so you can refund within your limits before they turn into chargebacks. Card-network alerts (Visa RDR, Mastercard Ethoca) coming soon.

  4. 04When it lands

    Fight it with facts

One queue for nine processors (some in beta) plus emailed or CSV notices. Each case gets a reason-code checklist, an AI draft that cites your records and a PDF evidence packet, submitted by you, or by Autopilot where the processor allows it.

  5. 05After

    Learn and protect

Refund-abuse scores and returns recommendations before the refund goes out, a daily chargeback-ratio check that warns you as it climbs, and a Results dashboard with win rates, recovered revenue and what you kept, by processor and reason.

The problem

The busiest season is when deadlines slip.

01

Volume spikes

Holiday disputes arrive in waves, weeks after the sales. Small teams can't keep up.

02

Deadlines are unforgiving

A missed response is an automatic loss, however strong the evidence was.

03

Full automation feels risky

Handing your disputes to a black box isn't an option. You need limits and a kill switch.

How Verdikx solves it

Automation with guardrails you choose.

01

Drafts on arrival

Every new case gets an AI draft and a packet built the moment it lands.

02

Your limits

Choose the processors (of those that allow automatic submission), reasons, maximum amount and the evidence strength required.

03

Early, not last-minute

Submits 48 hours before the deadline by default, with at least six hours' notice to you.

04

Kill switch and audit

Turn it off and every scheduled submission is cancelled instantly. Nothing is ever accepted on your behalf.

How Autopilot decides

Verdikx is a fraud, chargeback and dispute platform for e-commerce and SaaS merchants, built by Verdikx LLC. Autopilot has two modes:

  • Prepare drafts only (the default): a draft and evidence packet for each case; you submit.
  • Prepare and auto-submit eligible cases: Verdikx also submits cases that meet every limit you set.

A case is auto-submitted when all of these hold:

  1. Its processor is on your auto-submit list and supports it.
  2. Its dispute reason is on your list (by default item not received and fraudulent or unrecognized).
  3. The evidence meets your minimum: Basic, Standard (default) or Strong.
  4. The amount is within your cap (500 in your store currency by default). Cases in another currency are never auto-submitted.
  5. For "not received" disputes, carrier delivery proof exists (required by default).
  6. You haven't saved an unreviewed edit on the case.

Timing and safety

  • Submissions are scheduled 48 hours before the deadline by default (you can choose 6 to 240 hours).
  • A case is scheduled at least 6 hours before it is sent, so you can review or cancel it.
  • Nothing is submitted within 2 hours of the deadline.
  • Turning Autopilot off cancels every scheduled submission immediately, and Verdikx checks the switch again right before sending anything.
  • Each case shows its Autopilot state and, if blocked, why (for example "Over amount limit" or "Evidence too weak").
  • Nothing is ever accepted on your behalf.

Autopilot is included with Growth ($79/month) and Pro ($199/month). To see where disputes come from and how evidence is built, see chargeback management.

Frequently asked questions

Is it safe to automate chargeback responses?

It can be, with limits. Autopilot submits a case, where the processor allows it, when it meets every rule you set (processor, reason, amount cap, evidence strength and delivery proof), gives you at least 6 hours' notice, and stops instantly when you turn it off. Many merchants start with drafts only and enable auto-submit later.

Will Autopilot ever accept a dispute for me?

No. Autopilot drafts, packages and, if you allow it, submits evidence where the processor allows it. It never accepts a dispute, refunds an order or concedes on your behalf. Those decisions stay with you.

How do I stop Autopilot?

Untick Turn on autopilot for this store under Automation and save. Every scheduled submission is cancelled immediately. To stop one case, click Cancel scheduled submission on the case page. Uninstalling Verdikx also turns Autopilot off.

Does automation lower my win rate?

Automation doesn't change what the bank sees; the evidence does. Autopilot uses the same packet you would submit by hand and skips cases below your evidence minimum, so weak cases stay with you. Results show win rates for AI-drafted and Autopilot cases separately, so you can compare.

Which plan includes Autopilot?

Growth ($79/month) and Pro ($199/month), each with a 7-day free trial. Starter includes AI drafts and the AI claim check for 10 cases a month, without Autopilot.
