Why merchants look for Chargeflow alternatives
Chargeflow describes itself as an AI chargeback management platform with separate products for prevention, automated recovery, card-network alerts and analytics. Its pricing page lists Automation at 25% per recovered chargeback, Alerts at $29 per deflected chargeback and Prevent per scanned transaction, with no contracts or minimum commitments.
Merchants usually compare alternatives for one of three reasons: they want a predictable flat cost instead of a share of each win, they want a guarantee that covers fraud chargebacks, or they want screening, disputes and returns handled in one place.
Which Chargeflow alternatives have flat pricing?
- Flat subscriptions: Verdikx (Starter $29, Growth $79, Pro $199 a month, with no cut of what you win back) and ChargePay, whose Shopify App Store listing shows plans from $19.99 a month, each including unlimited chargebacks.
- Per alert, no monthly fee: Chargeblast's Shopify App Store listing says "Pay per alert: $19 per Visa alert, $29 per Mastercard alert. No monthly fee."; Chargeback.io's pricing page lists alerts at $15 to $29 each, billed only when an alert helps prevent a chargeback. Alerts stop a dispute before it is filed; they don't answer the chargebacks that still arrive.
- Success fees, for comparison: Chargeflow's pricing page lists Automation at 25% per recovered chargeback, and Disputifier's lists Chargeback Responses at 20% of recovered revenue, capped at $250 per recovery.
The full side by side, with each source and the date it was checked, is on Shopify chargeback apps with no success fee.
Verdikx
Verdikx is a fraud, chargeback and dispute platform for e-commerce and SaaS merchants, made by Verdikx LLC (New Jersey, United States). It installs as a Shopify app, screens new orders for fraud, keeps an evidence record for every order, prepares dispute responses across payment processors and flags returns abuse, on a flat subscription.
- Pricing: flat plans (Starter $29, Growth $79, Pro $199 a month; yearly saves 20%), each with a 7-day free trial. Not a percentage of recovered chargebacks or of order value: Verdikx takes no cut of what you win back. See pricing.
- Scope: order screening after the order is placed and before it ships, with plain-English reasons and the decision left to you, chargeback management with AI-assisted drafts, Autopilot that submits only inside limits you set and where the processor allows it, returns and refund abuse checks, and the opt-in Verdikx Network, which shares outcomes as keyed hashes and flags a shopper only after three other participating merchant accounts report them.
- Processors: Shopify Payments and Stripe live; Braintree, Adyen, Checkout.com, Authorize.net, Klarna and Afterpay in beta; PayPal and Square coming soon; any processor by email or CSV.
- Alerts: Stripe early fraud warnings with auto-refund policies today; Visa RDR and Mastercard Ethoca coming soon.
- Coverage: Verdikx connects Shopify, WooCommerce (beta), BigCommerce, Wix, Squarespace, Magento 2, commercetools, VTEX and Miva (direct, beta); marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay and Etsy are coming soon, and Verdikx does not guarantee outcomes or reimburse chargebacks.
How to choose
- Decide what you are buying: a tool, a service or a guarantee. Tools (like Verdikx, Chargeflow's Automation or Disputifier's Chargeback Responses) prepare and submit responses. Managed services (like Chargebacks911 or Chargeback Gurus) set up and run your dispute workflows with their specialists. Guarantee providers (like Signifyd, NoFraud, Riskified, Forter and ClearSale) take on fraud chargeback losses for orders they approve. Returns platforms (like Redo) run the returns portal and offer chargebacks as one product among several.
- Model the cost on your real numbers. For success fees, multiply your monthly recovered amount by the percentage. For order-based pricing, multiply approved order value by the rate. For per-alert pricing (like Chargeblast or Chargeback.io), multiply the alerts you expect by the price. Compare each with flat plans, and compare subscriptions (like ChargePay or Verdikx) on what each plan includes, not only the price.
- Split chargebacks by reason. Guarantees typically cover fraud on approved orders. Friendly fraud and "item not received" disputes usually need evidence. See friendly fraud.
- Check processors and platforms, and the maturity of each integration, before you migrate.
- Ask about alerts. If Visa RDR or Mastercard Ethoca is a must-have today, choose a provider that offers it now.
When Chargeflow is still the better choice
- You want card-network alerts (Verifi and Ethoca) running today with per-deflection pricing.
- You prefer paying nothing for recovery until a chargeback is won.
- You need a storefront or processor connection Verdikx doesn't have yet; Chargeflow lists 100+ integrations.
When Verdikx is the better choice
- You want a fixed monthly cost and one app for screening, disputes and returns abuse.
- You want to review what gets submitted, or automate only inside limits you set.
- You are on Shopify and take payments through more than one processor.
Frequently asked questions
What are the main alternatives to Chargeflow?
Chargeback-focused alternatives include Disputifier, Chargeblast, Chargeback.io, ChargePay, Justt, Chargebacks911, Chargeback Gurus and Midigator (now part of Equifax). Fraud platforms with chargeback guarantees include Signifyd, NoFraud (now Wyllo), Riskified, Forter and ClearSale, and Sift offers fraud and dispute management products. Redo, a returns platform, also lists a Chargebacks product. Verdikx combines order screening, dispute responses and returns-abuse checks in one Shopify app on flat pricing.
Is there a Chargeflow alternative without a percentage fee?
Yes. Verdikx charges a flat subscription (from $29 a month) rather than a percentage of recovered chargebacks or of order value, so it takes no cut of what you win back, with a 7-day free trial. ChargePay is a subscription too, and its Shopify listing starts lower, at $19.99 a month, with per-alert fees when alerts are enabled; Chargeblast and Chargeback.io charge per alert. Some fraud providers publish monthly plan prices too, such as NoFraud's guarantee plans and ClearSale's Growth plans, though those also involve order- or revenue-based pricing.
Which Chargeflow alternatives offer a chargeback guarantee?
Signifyd states a financial guarantee on approved orders. NoFraud (now Wyllo) includes a guarantee on fraud chargebacks it passed in paid plans. Riskified advertises full chargeback protection on every transaction, Forter's Shopify listing advertises coverage for all chargebacks on reviewed transactions, and ClearSale reimburses approved orders that turn out fraudulent. Guarantees typically cover fraud on approved orders, not every dispute reason. Verdikx does not reimburse chargebacks.
Which Chargeflow alternative screens orders before they ship and lets me decide?
Verdikx does, on Growth and Pro. Every new order is scored 0 to 100 with plain-English reasons after it is placed and before it ships, High-risk orders are held for your review, and Verdikx never cancels an order on its own. Guarantee providers such as Signifyd, Riskified and Forter make the approve-or-decline decision themselves; Chargeflow's Prevent is described as auto-verifying or cancelling risky orders.
Is Chargeflow worth it for small Shopify stores?
It depends on how much you recover. A 25% success fee costs little when wins are small and more as recovered amounts grow. Add up last quarter's won chargebacks, apply the fee, and compare the monthly figure with a flat plan. Also weigh whether you need alerts today, which Chargeflow offers now.
Can I move from Chargeflow to another tool mid-dispute?
Disputes already submitted stay with the bank until they are decided, whichever tool submitted them. New disputes go to whichever tool is connected to your processors. A common approach is to run a new tool on new disputes during its trial, then disconnect the old one. Check your current provider's terms before cancelling.
Does Verdikx work outside Shopify?
Yes. Merchants on WooCommerce (beta), another platform or with processor disputes only sign up on verdikx.com, choose what they sell on and pay by card; Shopify stores install the Verdikx app. Verdikx connects Shopify, WooCommerce (beta), BigCommerce, Wix, Squarespace, Magento 2, commercetools, VTEX and Miva (direct, beta); marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay and Etsy are coming soon. If you need a platform Verdikx lacks today, consider alternatives that list it.
