What Verdikx does on a Shopify store
Verdikx is a fraud, chargeback and dispute platform for e-commerce and SaaS merchants, built by Verdikx LLC (New Jersey, United States). For a Shopify store, Verdikx starts here: you install the app (or connect your store from the Verdikx website), approve Shopify's permissions, and the store becomes the home for every other connection. (Merchants on other platforms create a workspace on verdikx.com instead.)
Once connected, Verdikx subscribes to Shopify's order, fulfillment, refund and dispute updates, so new orders are captured in the background even when the app is closed. It then imports your existing orders, customers, refunds and disputes (large stores can take a few minutes). Every new order is saved to the evidence vault with a timestamp, so the record a bank sees later is the one that existed when the customer bought.
From dispute to response
When a Shopify Payments dispute arrives, it lands in Disputes → Cases, sorted by deadline, and Verdikx starts building the evidence packet right away. Each case shows a reason-code playbook (what evidence tends to matter for, say, *Merchandise not received* or *Unauthorized transaction*), a consistency check that flags problems a bank would notice, and one clear next step.
- Evidence packet: order and payment records, delivery destination, shipments and any carrier scans on file, the policies captured with the order, refunds, customer conversations and where each record came from.
- AI drafts: a response drafted from the recorded facts, with each paragraph citing its records. You review and save it. Starter includes AI drafts and the AI claim check for 10 cases a month (one shared count); Growth and Pro are unlimited, subject to fair use.
- Visa Compelling Evidence 3.0: for Visa fraud disputes (reason 10.4), the packet lists prior undisputed transactions from the same customer when Verdikx has them.
For how submission works on Shopify Payments (including when you submit in Shopify admin), see Shopify Payments chargebacks.
Before the dispute: order screening
On Growth and Pro, Verdikx screens new Shopify orders before you ship: a risk score with plain-English reasons, IP intelligence, an optional storefront device pixel, blocklists and opt-in Verdikx Network history from other participating stores. High risk orders are held before fulfillment by default (you can turn this off), and Pro adds custom risk rules that can hold other orders. Verdikx never cancels an order on its own. With order screening (Growth and up), it holds risky Shopify orders and orders from customers you block, and you decide whether to cancel; a cancel is always yours, after a confirmation. Automatic refunds of pre-dispute alerts within your cap are a separate opt-in (Growth and up). Autopilot never accepts a dispute; you accept one only after a confirmation. See order screening and Shopify fraud detection.
Other processors on the same store
Many Shopify stores take payments outside Shopify Payments. On Growth and Pro you can connect Stripe (live) and Braintree, Adyen and other processors (beta) to the same store, so their disputes join one queue. On every plan, chargeback notices from any processor or bank can be forwarded by email or uploaded as a CSV.
Plans
- Starter, $29/month: Shopify dispute evidence, AI drafts and the AI claim check for 10 cases a month, delivery proof and alerts, email and CSV chargeback intake.
- Growth, $79/month: adds order screening, refund-abuse scores, Stripe and other processor disputes, Autopilot and helpdesk sync.
- Pro, $199/month: adds custom risk rules and holds, WooCommerce sync and priority support. Every store needs its own plan.
Every plan has a 7-day free trial and is billed through Shopify; yearly billing saves 20%. It is a flat subscription, not a percentage of recovered chargebacks. See pricing.
What it does not do
Verdikx does not decide disputes or guarantee outcomes: the cardholder's bank and the card network do. It does not reimburse chargebacks. Card-network alerts (Visa RDR, Mastercard Ethoca) are coming soon, not live.

Frequently asked questions
Does Verdikx work with Shopify Payments disputes?
Yes. Shopify Payments disputes arrive in Verdikx automatically after you install the app, and the evidence packet starts building as soon as each dispute arrives. Unless Shopify has approved direct evidence submission for Verdikx on your store, you download the packet and submit it in Shopify admin, then mark the case as sent.
Which Verdikx plan do I need for a Shopify store?
Starter ($29/month) covers Shopify dispute evidence, AI drafts and the AI claim check for 10 cases a month, and email or CSV intake. Growth ($79/month) adds order screening, Stripe and other processor disputes and Autopilot. Pro ($199/month) adds custom risk rules and WooCommerce. Every store needs its own plan, and all include a 7-day trial.
Will Verdikx cancel or hold my Shopify orders?
Screening adds a risk score, tags and notes, and holds High-risk orders before fulfillment by default (you can turn this off). Pro risk rules can hold other orders, and orders from customers you block are held too. Verdikx never cancels an order on its own: you decide whether to cancel, after a confirmation. You stay in control of fulfillment decisions.
Does Verdikx guarantee I will win chargebacks?
No. The cardholder's bank and the card network decide every dispute. Verdikx helps by keeping timestamped order records, building a complete packet and flagging weak or contradictory evidence before you submit, which gives your response the best chance it can have.
Can I use Verdikx if I also sell on WooCommerce?
Yes, on the Pro plan. WooCommerce connects to your Verdikx workspace with a REST API key (beta), syncs orders and imports WooPayments disputes. A WooCommerce-only store can create its own workspace on verdikx.com instead.
