Approved fraud ships
A stolen card looks like a great first order. By the time the chargeback lands, the goods are gone and the fee is due.
Prevention
Order screening software checks each new order for fraud signals before you fulfill it. On Growth and Pro, Verdikx scores every new Shopify order from 0 to 100, within a few minutes, using address, velocity, IP, device, history and network signals, explains the reasons in plain English, and posts the verdict back to Shopify for you to act on.
Part of one platform
Verdikx handles prevention and chargeback recovery on the same order record, from checkout to chargeback and after.
On Growth and Pro, a 0–100 risk score with plain-English reasons on every new order after it is placed: IP and device velocity, card testing, account takeover, repeat disputers, chargebacks linked from other orders, IP intelligence, your blocklists and rules, and Verdikx Network history. Risky orders are held before fulfilment; you decide.
Tracking, store policies, customer messages, checkout signals and order history are saved to the order's evidence vault as they happen, not rebuilt later.
Stripe early fraud warnings land in one inbox, so you can refund within your limits before they turn into chargebacks. Card-network alerts (Visa RDR, Mastercard Ethoca) coming soon.
One queue for nine processors (some in beta) plus emailed or CSV notices. Each case gets a reason-code checklist, an AI draft that cites your records and a PDF evidence packet, submitted by you, or by Autopilot where the processor allows it.
Refund-abuse scores and returns recommendations before the refund goes out, a daily chargeback-ratio check that warns you as it climbs, and a Results dashboard with win rates, recovered revenue and what you kept, by processor and reason.
The problem
A stolen card looks like a great first order. By the time the chargeback lands, the goods are gone and the fee is due.
Early fraud warnings and bank alerts give you a window to refund. Miss it, and it becomes a chargeback on your ratio.
Blocking every international or rushed order kills good revenue. Merchants need precise, explainable decisions.
How Verdikx solves it
Address, email, order velocity, refund history, network signals and your platform's own fraud analysis, scored with plain-English reasons. Screening runs on new Shopify orders today, within a few minutes, on Growth and Pro.
Tag, note, alert or hold fulfilment automatically, with templates to start. Verdikx never cancels an order on its own. With order screening (Growth and up), it holds risky Shopify orders and orders from customers you block, and you decide whether to cancel. Autopilot never accepts a dispute.
Stripe early fraud warnings land in one inbox, auto-refunded under a cap you set. Card-network alerts (Visa RDR, Mastercard Ethoca) coming soon.
Join, and shoppers who charged back at other participating stores are flagged when they order, before you ship, without anyone's raw data being shared.
When a buyer disputes or a Stripe early fraud warning arrives, cancel or pause their Recharge, Skio or Stripe Billing subscription once you approve it (Recharge and Skio are in beta), so one problem doesn't become a chargeback every month.
Coming soon: before each renewal, Verdikx flags subscribers who asked to cancel, complained or were flagged by the network, so you can refund or cancel before they go to their bank. Plus a check that your trial and renewal reminders meet Visa's subscription rules.

Verdikx is a fraud, chargeback and dispute platform for e-commerce and SaaS merchants, built by Verdikx LLC. Its screening is a transparent rules engine: every point added or removed is a documented signal with a plain-language reason.
Limits are soft: you are warned at 80%, screening continues through a grace window after 100% (7 days or 20% over, whichever comes first), and nothing is billed for going over. Disputes and evidence are never limited.
Verdikx never cancels an order on its own. With order screening (Growth and up), it holds risky Shopify orders and orders from customers you block, and you decide whether to cancel; a cancel is always yours, after a confirmation. Automatic refunds of pre-dispute alerts within your cap are a separate opt-in (Growth and up). Autopilot never accepts a dispute; you accept one only after a confirmation. Rules never cancel orders on their own, and IP location alone never reaches a hold with the default scores. For the wider playbook, see how to prevent chargebacks and Shopify fraud detection.
| Signal | What it checks | Points |
|---|---|---|
| Prior chargeback | One earlier dispute from this customer at your store (two or more: +45) | +35 |
| Shopify's fraud analysis | Shopify rated the order high (medium: +20, low: -10) | +40 |
| Network chargeback history | Chargebacks for this buyer reported by at least 3 other Verdikx merchant accounts | +25 |
| Card testing | 3 or more different cards on one order, or behind one buyer, address or IP in 24 hours | +25 |
| Billing and shipping countries differ | Country mismatch between billing and shipping addresses | +20 |
| Disposable email | A known throwaway inbox provider | +15 |
| Tor exit node | Order placed through Tor (proxy, VPN or data-centre IP: +15) | +30 |
| Blocklist match | Matches an entry on your store's blocklist; forces at least Needs review | +50 |
| Established customer | 3 or more earlier orders over 90+ days, no disputes, refund rate under 10% | -15 |
Weights from the current screening model (rules-2026-10). Scores are clamped to 0 to 100; review from 30 and high risk from 60 by default. Weights may change as the model is updated.
Verdikx uses Shopify's own analysis as one signal (a high rating adds 40 points) and combines it with signals Shopify's view doesn't include: cross-store history from the opt-in Verdikx Network, device and IP intelligence, velocity across buyers and addresses, refund history and your own blocklists. Each verdict lists the reasons that moved the score.
No. Verdikx never cancels an order on its own. With order screening (Growth and up), it tags, notes and alerts, and holds fulfillment of High risk orders by default (you can turn this off under Automation → Autopilot & screening → Order screening). Pro risk rules can hold other orders too, and orders from customers you block or matching a blocklist entry are held. You decide whether to cancel, from the alert or the order, after a confirmation.
Fulfillment pauses in Shopify until you release it. Held orders are listed with the reason under Risk rules and on the Orders page, and releasing takes one click on any plan, even after a downgrade. Verdikx releases only holds it placed; holds from you or other apps stay.
Growth includes up to 10,000 new orders a month and Pro up to 50,000, per store. You're warned at 80%, and screening continues through a short grace window after the limit before new screening pauses. Nothing is billed for overage.
Yes, in beta. With your own SEON key, SEON's verdict becomes one signal in screening (a decline recommendation adds 25 points, a review adds 10). It is off by default, and SEON bills you for one call per screened order.
