Verdikx Network

One store's chargeback
can be the next store's warning.

A shared fraud data network lets merchants learn from each other's outcomes. The Verdikx Network is opt-in: stores that join share chargeback, refund-abuse and good-order outcomes as keyed one-way hashes, never raw customer data. A signal appears in screening once three other participating merchant accounts reported it, older outcomes fade, and any store can leave any time.

Part of one platform

One step of the lifecycle. All of it covered.

Verdikx handles prevention and chargeback recovery on the same order record, from checkout to chargeback and after.

  1. 01Before it ships

    Screen every order

On Growth and Pro, a 0–100 risk score with plain-English reasons on every new order after it is placed: IP and device velocity, card testing, account takeover, repeat disputers, chargebacks linked from other orders, IP intelligence, your blocklists and rules, and Verdikx Network history. Risky orders are held before fulfilment; you decide.

  2. 02As it happens

    Capture the evidence

Tracking, store policies, customer messages, checkout signals and order history are saved to the order's evidence vault as they happen, not rebuilt later.

  3. 03Before it's a chargeback

    Stop it early

Stripe early fraud warnings land in one inbox, so you can refund within your limits before they turn into chargebacks. Card-network alerts (Visa RDR, Mastercard Ethoca) coming soon.

  4. 04When it lands

    Fight it with facts

One queue for nine processors (some in beta) plus emailed or CSV notices. Each case gets a reason-code checklist, an AI draft that cites your records and a PDF evidence packet, submitted by you, or by Autopilot where the processor allows it.

  5. 05After

    Learn and protect

Refund-abuse scores and returns recommendations before the refund goes out, a daily chargeback-ratio check that warns you as it climbs, and a Results dashboard with win rates, recovered revenue and what you kept, by processor and reason.

The problem

Fraudsters move from store to store.

01

Every store starts blind

A first order from a known chargeback artist looks just like a new customer.

02

Sharing data is risky

Merchants can't pass customer emails and addresses around to compare notes.

03

Signals go stale

History without context or time decay flags reformed customers forever.

How Verdikx solves it

Shared outcomes, private identities.

01

Scrambled identifiers

Emails, phones, addresses and cards are hashed with a secret key before they leave your store.

02

Three-store threshold

A shopper is only flagged when at least three other participating merchant accounts reported them.

03

Your reports never echo back

Your own outcomes are excluded from what you see, and every signal fades with age.

04

Opt-in, leave any time

Off until you join in Settings and agree to the Network terms. Leave whenever you like and your contributions are removed.

How the Verdikx Network works

Verdikx is a fraud, chargeback and dispute platform for e-commerce and SaaS merchants, built by Verdikx LLC. The network is built into its order screening and returns review. The network is new, so expect few signals until more stores take part.

  1. Opt-in. A store takes part only after its merchant joins in Settings and agrees to the Verdikx Network terms. Signals flow only between participating stores, in both directions, and only for fraud prevention, never for credit, employment, insurance or housing decisions.
  2. Outcomes, not records. Participating stores contribute chargebacks (only disputes reported by a processor or Shopify count), refund abuse, orders still undisputed after 120 days, and won disputes.
  3. Identifiers are hashed first. Email, phone, shipping address, billing name with postal code, card (BIN and last four, never alone) and IP prefix are turned into keyed one-way hashes before storage.
  4. Three-account threshold. A category is shown only when at least three distinct other participating merchant accounts reported it, so no store can work out another's report. One merchant with several stores counts once.
  5. No single store dominates. Each contributor's weight per category is capped.
  6. Weak matches don't count alone. Shared identifiers like an IP prefix or a name with postal code never link a shopper on their own.
  7. Signals fade. An outcome loses half its weight every 180 days and is ignored after 3 years.
  8. Your own reports never echo back. You see other stores' outcomes, not yours.

How it affects screening

On Growth and Pro, matching history changes the order's score: chargebacks at other stores add 25 points, refund abuse adds 12, and good history (3 or more undisputed orders at other stores with no chargebacks or abuse) subtracts 10. Network counts are also available as fields in your Pro risk rules. Joining is open to every plan; receiving signals in screening needs Growth or Pro.

Questions to ask about any fraud consortium

  • What exactly is shared, and is it hashed before it leaves your store?
  • How many merchants must report a signal before you see it?
  • Do old outcomes expire, and can a single merchant skew the data?
  • Is joining your choice, can you leave, and are your past contributions deleted when you do?

In Verdikx, the network is off until you opt in, and leaving stops sharing and receiving immediately and deletes your store's past contributions. Your blocklist entries are never shared. See also order screening.

Frequently asked questions

Do other merchants see my customers' data?

No. Identifiers are converted to keyed one-way hashes before storage, stores never see other stores, their orders or their customers, and a signal appears only as a count once at least three other participating merchant accounts reported it. Nothing is shared unless you join the network.

Can I see which store reported a customer?

No. The network shows decayed counts by category (chargebacks, refund abuse, good orders), never the reporting store or its order. The three-account threshold exists so that no store can infer another store's report.

What if a good customer is flagged by the network?

Network history is one signal in the score, not a block. It needs reports from at least three other merchant accounts, fades with age, and good history elsewhere lowers the score. You see the reason on the order and decide whether to approve it.

How do I join or leave the Verdikx Network?

It is opt-in. To join, open Settings, tick the agreement to the Verdikx Network terms and click Join Verdikx Network. To leave, click Leave Verdikx Network and confirm: your store stops sharing and receiving signals immediately and its past contributions are deleted.

Is my blocklist shared with the network?

No. Blocklist and Trusted list entries stay in your store and are never shared with other stores or the Verdikx Network. The network uses only dispute and refund outcomes.
