Verdikx vs Chargeflow
Flat subscription or success fees

Verdikx and Chargeflow both help Shopify merchants fight chargebacks, but they charge differently. Chargeflow lists success-based fees, such as 25% of each recovered chargeback, plus paid alerts and per-transaction screening. Verdikx self-serve plans are subscriptions with no revenue share: no cut of what you win back, screening before orders ship, refund-abuse checks, and decisions left to you.

The short version

Verdikx is a fraud, chargeback and dispute platform for e-commerce and SaaS merchants, made by Verdikx LLC (New Jersey, United States). It installs as a Shopify app, screens new orders for fraud, keeps an evidence record for every order, prepares dispute responses across payment processors and flags returns abuse, on a flat subscription.

Chargeflow describes itself as an AI chargeback management platform with separate products for prevention (Prevent), automated recovery (Automation), card-network alerts (Alerts) and analytics (Insights). Its pricing page lists Automation at 25% per recovered chargeback, with no payment until a chargeback is recovered, and it advertises a "4x ROI Guarantee" on that product.

The biggest practical difference is how cost scales. With a success fee, you pay more as you win more and as disputed amounts grow: at 25%, a won $200 chargeback costs $50. With a flat plan, the monthly cost is known in advance and does not change with the size of a win: Verdikx takes no cut of what you win back. Which one is cheaper depends on how many disputes you win and how large they are.

Both tools screen orders. Chargeflow sells Prevent as a separate per-transaction product that it describes as auto-verifying or cancelling risky orders. Verdikx includes screening from Growth up: it runs after the order is placed and before it ships, never at checkout, and holds risky orders for you rather than cancelling them: Verdikx never cancels an order on its own.

How to choose

  1. Estimate your monthly recovered amount. Take the chargebacks you won last quarter, divide by three, and multiply by any percentage fee you are quoted. Compare that with a flat plan on the pricing page.
  2. Decide whether you want one tool or several. Verdikx covers order screening, chargeback management and returns abuse in one Shopify app. Chargeflow sells prevention, recovery and alerts as separate products with separate pricing.
  3. Check your processors. List every processor you take payments through and confirm each one is supported and at what maturity (live, beta or coming soon). Verdikx lists this on Connections.
  4. Decide how much control you want over submissions. Verdikx Autopilot submits only inside limits you set and where the processor allows it; otherwise you review and confirm each response.
  5. Ask about card-network alerts. If Visa RDR or Mastercard Ethoca alerts are a priority today, note that Chargeflow offers them now, while Verdikx's are coming soon.

When Chargeflow is the better choice

  • You want card-network alerts (Verifi and Ethoca) running today, priced per deflected chargeback.
  • You prefer to pay nothing for dispute recovery until a chargeback is won, and are comfortable with a percentage of each win.
  • You need a storefront or processor connection Verdikx doesn't have yet. Verdikx connects Shopify, WooCommerce (beta), BigCommerce, Wix, Squarespace, Magento 2, commercetools, VTEX and Miva (direct, beta); marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay and Etsy are coming soon, while Chargeflow lists 100+ integrations.
  • You want a free analytics dashboard (Chargeflow Insights) before committing to anything.

When Verdikx is the better choice

  • You want a predictable bill: a flat plan with a 7-day free trial, instead of a share of every recovered chargeback: Verdikx takes no cut of what you win back.
  • You want order screening, dispute evidence, AI-assisted drafts and returns-abuse checks in one place, with plain-English reasons for every risk score.
  • You want to stay in control: nothing is submitted unless you confirm it or have turned on Autopilot rules. Verdikx never cancels an order on its own. With order screening (Growth and up), it holds risky Shopify orders and orders from customers you block, and you decide whether to cancel. Autopilot never accepts a dispute.
  • You want cross-store fraud signals on your terms: the Verdikx Network is opt-in, shares outcomes as keyed hashes rather than customer data, and flags a shopper only after three other participating merchant accounts report them.
  • You take chargebacks from several processors and want them in one inbox, including notices forwarded by email or uploaded as CSV.

Verdikx does not guarantee dispute outcomes: banks and card networks decide disputes.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Chargeflow cost compared with Verdikx?

Chargeflow's pricing page lists Automation at 25% per recovered chargeback, Alerts at $29 per deflected chargeback and Prevent per scanned transaction, with a free Insights dashboard. Verdikx plans are flat: Starter $29, Growth $79 and Pro $199 a month, with yearly billing saving 20%, and no share of what you win. Which costs less depends on how much you recover each month.

Does Chargeflow screen orders before they ship, like Verdikx?

Yes, as a separate product. Chargeflow's pricing page lists Prevent, priced per scanned transaction after the first 1,000, and describes it as auto-verifying or cancelling risky orders. Verdikx includes screening from Growth up: every new order is scored after it is placed and before it ships, with plain-English reasons, and High-risk orders are held for your decision rather than cancelled.

How does the Verdikx Network compare with Chargeflow's merchant network?

Chargeflow's homepage says it leverages data from a global network of merchants; it does not describe how merchants join or how customer data is shared. The Verdikx Network is opt-in in Settings, shares only chargeback and refund-abuse outcomes as keyed one-way hashes, flags a shopper only once three other participating merchant accounts report them, and never shares your decisions or blocklists.

Does Verdikx offer a guarantee like Chargeflow's 4x ROI guarantee?

No. Verdikx does not guarantee dispute outcomes or a return on investment, because banks and card networks decide disputes. Instead it keeps pricing flat, so you know the cost up front, and offers a 7-day free trial so you can see the evidence and drafts it produces for your own orders before paying.

Can I switch from Chargeflow to Verdikx?

Yes. Install Verdikx from the Shopify App Store, connect your processors, and new disputes start arriving in Verdikx. Disputes already submitted through another tool stay with the bank until they are decided. You can run both on new disputes during the trial, then cancel whichever you do not keep. Check your other tool's terms before cancelling.

Does Verdikx support Visa RDR and Mastercard Ethoca alerts?

Not yet. Card-network alerts (Visa RDR and Mastercard Ethoca) are coming soon to Verdikx. Today Verdikx brings Stripe early fraud warnings into one inbox and can refund them automatically under policies you set, on the Growth and Pro plans. Chargeflow lists Verifi and Ethoca alerts now, priced per deflected chargeback.

Do I need Shopify to use Verdikx?

No. Shopify stores install the Verdikx app and are billed through Shopify. Merchants on WooCommerce (beta), another platform or with processor disputes only create a workspace on verdikx.com and pay by card. Verdikx connects Shopify, WooCommerce (beta), BigCommerce, Wix, Squarespace, Magento 2, commercetools, VTEX and Miva (direct, beta); marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay and Etsy are coming soon; Chargeflow lists 100+ integrations if you need one Verdikx lacks today.
