What American Express F14 means

The Card Member recognizes one transaction and disputes the rest. Some older processor lists call F14 'Missing Signature', but Amex's current US guide names it Multiple ROCs.

Common causes

  • Split shipments billed as separate charges the customer did not expect
  • Upsells or add-ons charged after checkout
  • Repeat orders by another household member using the same card
  • A real duplicate submission

Evidence that answers it

  • Separate order records, invoices and fulfillments for each charge
  • Customer confirmation emails or account history for each order
  • Delivery proof per charge
  • Refund record for any true duplicate

How to prevent it

  • Explain split shipments and separate charges in the order confirmation
  • Use one charge per order unless the customer agreed otherwise
  • Check for duplicate submissions before batching
