Shopify Payments disputes

How to respond to Shopify Payments disputes: submit from Verdikx when available, otherwise in Shopify admin.

Where in VerdikxDisputes → Cases → open the case

Shopify Payments disputes appear in Verdikx automatically, and the packet starts building as soon as they arrive.

If the case shows “Submit to Shopify”

  1. Save a reviewed response and build the packet.
  2. Click Submit to Shopify and confirm.

Shopify accepts one submission per dispute, the PDF must be under 4 MB and it can't be edited afterwards.

Otherwise, submit in Shopify admin

This is the usual path unless Shopify has approved direct evidence submission for Verdikx on your store.

  1. Download the packet from the case.
  2. Click Submit in Shopify (it opens the dispute in Shopify admin; Open dispute in Shopify in the step's More menu opens the same page), add the evidence and click Submit evidence in Shopify.
  3. Back in Verdikx, tick I have already submitted this evidence in Shopify and click Mark as sent.

Marking it keeps your queue and results accurate. Verdikx does not send anything to Shopify in this case.

"Reconnect to allow Verdikx to submit"

Submitting Shopify Payments evidence from Verdikx needs a permission Shopify grants apps separately. Once it is available for Verdikx, your store approves it once: open Connections → Shopify → Update permissions (in Shopify admin, approve the update when Shopify asks). Until then the case and the Shopify card show Dispute submission: needs re-approval, and Autopilot prepares Shopify Payments cases and alerts you instead of submitting.
