Verdikx looks up where each order's checkout IP is and whether it hides behind a proxy, VPN, Tor or a hosting provider.

Click Why? or Details · Change under an order's verdict. Below the reasons, Verdikx shows the checkout IP, for example "IP 203.0.113.7 · NG · Hosting provider (AS12345)".
How it scores
- Placed through Tor: +30.
- Proxy or VPN, or a data-centre IP address: +15.
- IP country differs from both the billing and the shipping country: +10.
IP location is a signal only. On its own it never reaches Hold with the default scores, and nothing is blocked because of where an IP is.
Use it in rules
Conditions include IP country, IP to billing address (km), IP to shipping address (km), IP country differs from addresses, IP is a proxy or VPN, IP is a Tor exit node and IP is a data centre. The template Hold orders from Tor or data-centre IPs over $200 is a good start.
Where the data comes from
- Country and network: MaxMind's GeoLite2 Country and ASN databases. Verdikx downloads them (new releases are picked up within days) and looks IPs up on its own servers, so no IP address is sent to MaxMind and there is no daily lookup limit.
- Data centres: the network from the ASN database is matched against a built-in list of cloud and hosting networks and hosting-company names.
- Tor: the public Tor exit-node list, refreshed daily.
- Proxies and VPNs: need a paid provider (MaxMind GeoIP2 Insights) enabled for your Verdikx deployment; without one this condition stays unknown and never matches.
IP location is country-level. IP to billing / shipping address (km) needs IP coordinates, which only a paid provider supplies, so on the default setup those conditions stay unknown and never match; use IP country differs from addresses instead.
